Sun's Embrace

Sun's Embrace

A Poem by Courtney
"

Even though it took forever, I give you this; My first truly happy poem... Ever! :)

"
As the sun rises over
On horizon far
Lighting emerald clover;
Joyously bizarre

Rays of gold across your face
Shining majesty
Pulls you in with warm embrace
Cov'ring travesty

Cotton clouds up in the sky
Transform as you see
Merely glancing; passing by
Taking form for me

Lean back your head; allow the peace
Take pause as world refuse to cease

What I wouldn't give these days to have some time just to lay in the grass and watch pictures in clouds. Your poem reminded me how much I miss that and now I am going to make a goal of doing just that.

Thanks :D
this was a simple yet profound poem we often times tend to forget the simple treasures in life are the things we take for granted : the sky and a sun rise is one of them this describes the beauty of a sunrise very vividly its very well written you used your metaphors quite well also i loved it
