Masked

Masked

A Poem by Courtney

Swollen thighs without a gap,
Balloon protrudes in front.
The food consumed is but a trap
Regardless what I want

The judging stares as I walk past
Burn hot into my back.
With my head down, I pass through fast
So my facade won't crack

The mask I wear upon my face
Is tarnished by the pain.
My tears inside without a trace,
My fear to notice gain.

My heart recoils from public eye,
Inside my mind I'm free to cry.
