Blue On Blue

Blue On Blue

A Poem by Courtney
"

I asked my friend Gage for a topic for a poem, and he just said water.. So I came out with this!

"
The roaring waves encompass me
As I struggle for breath.
Yet as I'm swallowed by the sea,
I shall succumb to death.

Despite my predetermined fate,
I fight against the pull
That burdens me with such a weight
Where emptiness sets full

Of the lives lost in its Abyss.
Tears fall undetected;
Blue on blue is naught but to miss
My forlorn reflection.

I smile as I sink to demise
As, peacefully, I shut my eyes.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review this! :) I'm glad you liked it!
This is a really descriptive piece:

Of the lives lost in its Abyss.
Tears fall undetected;
Blue on blue is naught but to miss
My forlorn reflection.

A Write you can drown in. Excellent piece :)
