Weeping Demon

Weeping Demon

A Poem by G. Anderson

Through the eyelet of masquerade,

We sneak on through.

Grazing the labyrinth of bliss, we

Find happiness so true.

But lurking behind the solid iron bars,

The passion of the demon, it awaits,

It smolders, it mars.

God gave darkness to lead to the meaning,

But the devil gave light to reach for

The weeping Demon.
