No One Knows.

No One Knows.

A Poem by G. Anderson

Because no one knows.

Knows no boundaries,

and no one answers from above to save the unknowing.

Nobody cares,

reaching down to show the way,

no guidance or love or knowledge...

To this day,

None.

Some face forward,

and some grasp the sky.

But none come to the conclusion,

Because no one knows why.

No one knows why we're here,

we can all but hypothesize.

Thrown and scattered about the Earth...

Every shape and size.

Why do we cry, and why do we weep.

Why do we stab, and kill....then repeat.

Why don't we learn,

taking our hands and dipping them once

again, back into the blood of unknowing.

We don't know so much that our

minds are filled to the brim of it.

Our dreams reek of it.

Our words ooze with it.

And our bloody hands no longer can handle it.

The life of never knowing.

The life of not knowing.

The life of cannot knowing.

Broken with hatred,

drowning in resent.

Trapped in a life, with no repent.

Because one cannot know,

I don't know.

Simply Astounding, I can feel your emotions come out in the open. Very nicely done.

Even though this is free verse it still seems to have some underlying pattern and rhythm to it. The concept you've chose to discuss is an interesting one that can be taken many ways by different perceptions from different people.
"Why do we cry, and why do we weep.
Why do we kill, and stab....then repeat."
I feel this has some purpose in it as you phrase it.
Exactly why do we do these things? As you state, no one knows. It's quite the mystery of life, and it's our job to figure it out the best we can. Right?
