Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland

A Poem by Literatureandthemind

I opened the door to a winter wonderland.
The ground looked like it had the skin of a powdered queen.
I ran outside and opened my mouth, sticking out my tongue.
One snow by one snow,
One flake by one flake,
The snowflake dropped into my mouth and I tasted the savoring taste of the snowflake.
I ran to my friends and started an idea.
One snow by one snow,
One ball by one ball,
We formed a snow ball, one large, one medium and one small.
We laughed and got a new idea,
One snow by one snow,
One man by one man,
We formed a snowman and stuck on it's other accessories.
We fell, our back to the snow and began to giggle.
One snow by one snow,
One angel by one angel,
We spreader our wings,
And pretended to fly.
These were the days of the winter wonderland.

Sounds like the winter wonderland I would liked to have known, if I hadn't grown up in Texas.
