Rubies That Petrify

Rubies That Petrify

A Poem by Eliza Pleasant
"

I love this poem. I hope you do, too! Enjoy!

"

Ruby Red Nails

Slash across your face.

You drop the girl, the money, your life.

Clutching your burning flesh.

You fall to the ground,

feel a sharp pain in your gut.

You've made a mistake.

This girl is weird.

Should you run?

Can you stand?

You feel guilty.

How could you have done these things?

Your mind goes numb.

All the screams you've caused rush back.

You start whimpering.

Holding yourself together.

The girl leaves.

The lights flash off her nails.

I think of someone being brought to justice. A man has done wrong and now a woman is making his pay for it in her own unique way that you have brought to life. LOVE IT

This one feels like some passionate anger cause by some guy on a woman. Kind of make me think of catwoman. lol. Nice. :)
