Free Society

A Poem by Crazy Cat Man

Free Society

Many people forget that we live in a free society. Bush was looked upon as a tyrant and a simpleton leader. He admitted to not reading the newspaper and not reading books. His cabinet members briefed him. So they easily influenced Bush's decisions. For the last 8 years, America got fed up with Bush. A change was needed. And they voted for Barack Obama as the 44th President.

Conservatives lost to the Liberals. They despised each other. For 8 years the Liberals were complaining Bush's policies. And now for a few months the Conservatives are complaining about Barack Obama's administration. They think Obama is weak and enemies will attack and strike America.

Conservatives think the Liberals should be gone and America will be better. The Liberals think America will be better off without the religious convictions of the Conservatives. You can look at it as if the Conservatives ruled the US 100% We live under fascism. If the Liberals ruled the US 100% we live under communism. I think both groups need each other. It makes it fair and balance. :)

oh you know, you see how a quite stupid person can become a president. You can buy anything with money, a Doc title or becoming a president.
Now I wonder about people: They got the most charming, intelligent straight-forward president, who is demonstrating his course with his life, his decitions were to work to establish social justice, (he and also his wife) but people still fight against him, and why? For they seek their own vision, jealousy and prejudice! So don't worry Daniel, the truth will emerge, always.. soon or later. They (patriots or those who call themselves so) (build stupid web sites trying to denunziate everything this Obama president does. Stupid enough they don't see that Obama took the most difficult situation in the history of U.S.....I mean he was not the one who caused the financial misery, but who did - the hand full of oligarchs scattered around the Earth. Why doesn't anybody want to know where all this "f*****g money" is gone? Oh.. It is also a matter of education and self-interest why they don't see. But who would want to share at all in capitalistic countries; capitalism is about possessions and power and, only few times in history of mankind it was different... Yet, sharing with others and go a step or two back is the only way how to survive, social justice is neccessary, for we see where the so called free capitalism brought us; when the rich can be greedy however way they like to, where this is free market? It is not... Everybody is talking about how to save the Earth - but.... others should those who talk about it, mostly wanna make themselves important and catch attention, Oh they don't wanna change anything! This is f*****g ridiculous. People should watch less stupid TV which is manipulating people letting them being entertained instead of thinking what's going on with the world, they should learn foreign languages and get a different information instead of digging somewhere where is no dirt; they shall learn altruism and they shall study mankind history to understand history of man in its - wholeness. yeah, that's a great poem, I enjoyed it.

I Love all your points. Are you truly this open-minded, or is it just kindling for the fire? It seems that our world would be a much better place if people were as passionate about each other as they are about politics.

I appreciate the value you place on the bipartisan system, but I think you go too far with your conclusion. Even if one the parties does die, another will emerge. I don't think we will fall into one extreme or another as long as the constitution is the rule of law.

While this is well written and I enjoyed reading you're opinion and respect you for having generating one, I find it to be quite frankly, horse s**t. The partisan conflict does little more than to breed conflict and political confusion, with the two calling as you note, names such as fascist or communist, without any idea as to what these words mean. Were we to do away with one party, EITHER party, the nation would be open to true democracy, where views could be made individualistic. By naming one liberal or conservative, the individual is lost in a blur of what one should be. I respect your opinion and agree that both sides are drowning in their own constant uninformed bickering, but as long as we have both sides the true opinions can never be revealed and thus democracy is made void. George Washington himself warned against political parties, and the fall of every great society, (greece, rome, england, france) was in a time of political partisanism.

I wanted you to know that I did read this, but I'm not really going to comment on it. I'm not one to discuss politics very much and this is the kind of piece that could cause some very intense arguments. Maybe thats good, maybe it's not. Sometimes argumnts incite change for the better. I'm glad you stood up and spoke your mind and gave your point of view. This is well written and speaks of a certain level of intelligence. Nicely done.

Almost everyone loves the president when he comes in and hates him when he comes out that's all I really know...I disagreed with many of bushes decisions but you are right at least we live in a country that is free and thank God for checks and balances. Brilliant write...
