The land of the Fae

The land of the Fae

A Poem by Andria Peterson
"

Inspired by my own experience

"
A lovely walk to the beach
through a forest on the way.
I hear the ocean waves crash
down by the bay.

The lively sounds of nature
calm my mind, body and soul.
I hear the birds chirping
on this light morning stroll.

I notice a beautiful archway
carefully crafted by Mother Earth.
This was no coincidence;
it's another realm on Earth.

So I step through the door -
the door to another world.
Instantly, the weather changed,
but what a wonderful magical world!

The birds have stopped chirping.
The waves have gone away.
An eerie silence lingers.
This is the land of the Fae!

Mesmerised by the plants,
there's something special here.
It feels like time has stopped.
I'm trying not to fear.

Walking back to where I came,
there's rustling right behind me.
I step back through the arch.
Phew. It all feels normal again, you see.

The air has changed back.
I hear the waves once more.
The vibrant sound of nature
is back there like before.

Maybe one day I'll return
to the land of the Fae.
There's still more to learn,
but for now, I won't stray.
