Summer of Love

Summer of Love

A Poem by Cool Girl
"

Another poem about heartbreak...

"
In the summer it began,
With the day I met you.
And by the end of June,
I was falling for you..

Your words,
Your dreams,
Your accomplishments.

Your wants,
Your needs,
Oh how they drew me in.

All those promises,
That still float arund,
But will soon be broken.

So much in common,
You and I,
Our love sprouting like a flower.

Inside jokes,
For us folks,
And only ours.

Love,
Passion,
Meaning,
Words.

No,
Stopping,
We,
Were on the go.

Summer of love!

My summer of love!

I fall in love to easily,
But I've never learned to let go.

So I'm regretting everything,
I don't know what I used to know.

Falling,
And falling,
And falling,
Down.

Sinking,
And sinking,
And sinking,
To the ground.

Months ago you would've caught me,
But you've left your post.
So I keep flailing,
And flailing,
And flailing.

Until I'm broke...

Not your best work? this is really awesome! And sad at the same time, it has a lot background emotion on it, maybe sadness.
This is really one great poem and love the lines: falling, falling down and sinking sinking to the ground
