A Secret Crush

My deepest, darkest secret

I have held deep within

I am in love with someone I shouldn’t

I’m in love with a very close friend

 

I love the way he listens

To my issues, confusions, and the things that make me smile

When he wraps his arms around me

For a long time or a little while

 

Constantly thinking of him

Wanting to be with him

No boyfriend has ever made me as happy as he

For he is the greatest of all men

 

Always searching and seeking

For someone the same as he

But no one will ever come close

That great! How can they be?

 

I would love for us to be together

But I’m scared to mess up what we’ve got

Our friendship is more important

Than to lose it and then not

 

I wish I could tell them

How I feel

I would shout it to the world

If I knew both our feelings were real

 

But I haven’t a clue

As to how you feel for me

A friend, sister, or more

I wish I knew what you see

 

When our ways are parted

Just know I’m always here for you

No matter where life takes us

I will always Love you...
