The Shadow On My Shoulder
There is an angel who sits upon my shoulder who goes by the name of Death...

Friends

A Poem by Cre8tive

We can’t be

I will not allow

To be labeled

To be categorized

To be emotionally disabled

To be intrinsically incapable

Of providing for you

We can’t be

The thought of you doing the same

To another

I won’t allow my brain to compute

I can’t allow myself to pause and mute

I’d rather rewind before I fast forward

I’d rather not know what this “friendship” has in store

If WE can’t be

Then THIS can’t be

All friendships have a beginning and an end

I don’t want you to waltz out of my life

I won’t allow us to be friends

This love, for you that I have just won’t die

And it’s killing me inside to see how content you are without me

My love don’t doubt me

Just give it another try

All truth

No lies

No secrets

True promises

But with all that stated you just want to be

Friends
