Be A Friend and Understand

This is a wish of mine. Something from the heart. It's not thought out but I just typed it so forgive if it doesn't make sense.

I just want someone to understand me.

The way I act. The way I talk.

Wishing for that person with the key.

The key that would unlock my hurting heart.

 

I’m not who I say I am.

My character is different than what you see.

I’m just a broken dam.

Broken but fixable to me.

 

Just be you and I will be true.

Not someone wearing a mask.

Cause I can be false and blue.

For I just want to ask…

 

Will you be a friend?

For I will be me

And we can mend.

Together we can be true.

 

For that is our wish.

For someone to grasp our hand.

To have friendship.

To have someone understand.
