Cloak

Cloak

A Poem by Praveeta

Cloak

She smiles
She giggles
She covers it all
No one notices her misery at all

Deep within she is hurt
But does not regret
One day her pain will be gone
That day she will be reborn

The title matches perfectly with the poem. By acting, she cloaks her pain with false smiles... Very sad and beautiful.
In the first stanza, the words are so simple, yet that is all we do to deceive other people that we are okay. "Smiles", "giggles", these reflect reality so much that I really feel the pity and sadness behind the poem.
What makes the poem really stand out is that the hope in the future. She will recover from her pain, and get a new life. I felt that strong message to every part of my body.
Very well-written, thank you for posting it! :)

Both the poem and the picture are quite meaningful.
I love the tune of optimism that is expressed in the last two lines.

You are most welcome,creative poet.:)
Dear Praveeta,

This is something that I have been reading on writerscafe for a very long time now.

However, what I feel is, nobody has been so creative to name the poetry with such a beautiful name and adding to it, I have never read anybody who was able to show the entire scenario with such limited words.

Beautiful effort

Keep up the great writing.

Stay blessed
