I Loved You

I Loved You

A Poem by C.I. Cofield

When I say “I Love You” I mean it with all my heart,
Knowing you don’t feel the same, it tears me apart.
Sometimes I think that things would prove to be much more easy
If I could find a way to love the way that you love me.
If I could love you half assed, and didn’t have to care,
Then maybe it wouldn’t hurt so much when you weren’t there.
If I could keep my distance and love you from afar
I guess it would be easy then, to protect my heart.
But I don’t love you callously, I’ve loved you all or none,
And for a while I was convinced, I thought you were the one.
But now I’ve opened up my eyes and I truly see
An epic love was always there, but only felt by me.

Lovely! Many times it happens, we fall in love and the other person doesn't. Try and be careful before such an adventure. I think that things would prove to be easier if I could find a way to love the way you love me. Comma is needed after afar and not needed after then. then is not needed. period after none For a while I was convinced, I thought you were the one. Now I've opened my eyes and I truly see. An epic love was always there, but only felt by me.
I hope I helped. Thanks

I'm a stay at home mom, I've always liked to write but never wrote anything worth reading. I hated english and writing in school so my grammar is probably horrifying to an experienced writer lol. But .. more..
