As If

As If

A Poem by CrimsonHints
"

:)

"
As if, my dear,
You'd lend an ear,
To what I have to say.

I'd draw you near,
But you wouldn't care,
Or listen in any way.

Oh, what you wouldn't give,
So that you could live,
Right outside my touch.

And as I grow stiff,
A moment's kiss,
Is a moment all too much.

As if, my love,
Oh God above,
You'd ever love a woman like me.

And to speak of,
What's so plainly enough,
You'd never have the soul to see.
