Brothers on The Sea

Brothers on The Sea

A Poem by CrimsonHints

For every sea-faring shanty,
Ever written in ink,
There was a great sea-faring vessel,
Destined to sink.

So take to the pages,
And write a song for the crew.
Lines for the lost,
In the depths of the blue.

Raise your voices in brotherhood;
We'll live for those who've died.
Singing, laughing, and drinking,
We'll sail away on the tide.

Take a vow to remember them all;
Whether thieves, beggars, or gents.
We'll take thought in their sea-faring ways,
And count it as time well spent.

It never mattered who you were,
Or who you'll ever be.
To the waves, we're all the same;
We're all brothers on the sea.
