God Said

God said to be gracious,
So I graciously gave,
Every one of my men,
To their watery grave. 

God said to love,
But I fear I have loved too much.
Bless hisheart,
He broke mine with just a touch.

God said to be kind,
So I loaded my pistol,
Ended their sad lives,
No one too big or too little.

God said to be respectful,
So I left her flag sailing,
After I took down the ship,
As they all went bailing.

God said to be happy,
But that's the part I failed.
Little does he know,
How far that ship has sailed.
