Emerald Daylight

Emerald Daylight

A Poem by CrimsonHints

Golden bricks with moss hiding the glints, a road through life and the unknown.
This clay covered way all battered and bent; a path to an emerald home.

A call from the castle, steady song.
Step away from the poppies; I'll guide you along.

Come away, come away, step into my sight;
Fractured rays of emerald daylight.

Raise the gate, our knight is near!
Sound the horn and trumpet clear.

Is it courage, home or a heart you seek?-
Planted here in this emerald keep.

For all are bestowed to those who've stood
Upon golden bricks with a heart that is good.

Open your hands and I'll bestow upon you,
All that you ask for all that you do.
