Patience Moves Stones Before, Mountains Afterwards

Patience Moves Stones Before, Mountains Afterwards

A Poem by Cristina Moldoveanu
"

My first attempt of acrostic

"

Pay attention to the meek,

Tides that come are tides that go.

Endless are man’s lamentations,

Celebrate each day you live.

Monuments are built and fall,

Vessels often lose their way.

Stars can change their place in time,

One way signs can be a trick.

Estimate your real speed,

Between two extremes choose none.

Forget if you cant forgive,

Repress anger if they laugh.

Morals change, but mans the same,

Understand whats your own charge.

Tame yourself before demanding,

Instead dreaming try to sleep.

Author's Note

Cristina Moldoveanu
this is my first acrostic, I know it is not perfect, be patient with me :) Usually, in order to convey longer messages different authors used the first syllable in each line, this is a little unconventional, you can say the message is not so obvious, but so are different wise statements...sometimes people write unconventional acrostics.
Maybe next time I will try with the first syllable.

It's not the usual way of an acrostic, but it's very well done.

I agree, more common are those with the first syllable in the message they convey.
