Don't speak

Don't speak

A Poem by Crow21
"

No rhyme, no meter, a poem that's no longer a poem

"
Insipid are the words that ooze their
way off your lips and towards me
creeping up so I can swallow them whole.

Lashing out my tongue curses from the
inside as my lips are pressed hard shut
as not to cut you even deeper than you
have me.

The words circling in my my mind encrypted
in meaning recognizable only to us lock
themselves in.

Gazing away my eyes grab at the picture
of anything that is not you.
Holding their grounds my cold tears refuse
to seize the many chances you gave them
to come falling down.

Tilting back and forth until it finally hangs
itself as if dead
Now expressionless it refutes the longing
to take the correct stance not wanting to
betray me my head will never give me
the opportunity to face you.

Sordid memories take claim of my heart
clutching desperately for a way out
Loosing strength now its walls begin to
crack and give way to a crumbling of
what we birthed then killed.
