Seasick

Seasick

A Poem by Crozby
"

Shifting Waters

"

O Seas,

ever changing,

ever shifting,

never forgiving.

One second, waves

lapping, gentle.

the next, no warning,

raging.

Tossing my boat,

to and fro.

the waters may

churn, but I won’t

get Seasick.

This storm, too

shall pass.

Red sky at morn-

I will not waver.

Sometimes the best ones come out quickly, rough or not. This one is an excellent metaphor for life and exhibits a sound philosophy for dealing with the same. Our lives can often change quickly and place us in rough waters, but the ancient, simple faith of "This too shall pass" will see us through it. Good work, worthy of being hung on the wall for those rough times.

Great message in it and some really great images in this pithy piece. Good work!

Red sky at morning, shepherd's warning. I am picking up on the changing mood of the sea, from gentle and calm into possibly the monster it can become.Baton down the hatches you are in for rough sailing. I enjoyed the imagery and the mood of this poem. Well expressed. Thank you.
