Anticipation

Something about this feels awkward, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps the last couple of lines......I wasn't totally thrilled with them.

Sweet anticipation.......
the slow, gentle burning
of constant, powerful yearning.......

Can you feel it?
It builds........
growing in intensity.......

Not a bright, fleeting spark,
but a slow, steady flame......
gradually climbing higher, hotter.......
until I cry out your name.

The waiting is torture,
but sweet torture, a desire,
a deep longing for your touch
that burns the most pleasurable of fires.......

Dare the flame, and embrace the lust
that drives this wanton feeling high.......
Dreamt kisses and fantasized caresses

finally give way to passion - as next to you I lie.......
