Believing Lies

Believing Lies

A Poem by Crystal Angel

I
You told me that you'll leave her for me
that you don't love her, instead it was me
I believed in your words for I thought it's true
Now i'm badly hurt for believing in you

II
Words, phrases, and sentences were told by you
Many promises were shared but none came true
Plans for the future are now part of the past
For you didn't loved me the way I thought we'll last

III
Tears from my eyes are falling fast
My heart is shuttered into pieces
It feels like I'm dying inside
Pained because of the things you did

IV
Go away with her and live together
Just always take care and enjoy your forever
For one day my prince charming will come
and together we'll live our happily ever after

Nice, I really liked your rhyming scheme. I like how you end on the positive side with hope instead of despair.

Oh this made me cry. I understand this maybe too well being led on with empty promises and used. You tell it in such a way my heart opens and I want to help. Such an effective use of words to draw in the reader. Very beautiful overall

Hmm, this is a well-explained poem. I love the positive ending!
