Once upon a time

Once upon a time

A Poem by Wild Rose

Once upon a time

Once upon a time we were free to come and go

Then a terrible affliction appeared

It gave you a cough, aching limbs and a high temperature

They took you away out of sight

No contact with other people

One hours walk, go to the shops, That’s all!

Stand in line two meters apart

Go to the park

Don’t sit on a seat or the grass

Not even when all alone

You must keep moving

Once a day for one hour

Not twice for two half hours

People wearing face masks

Am I in a town of bandits, or?

Outcasts attempting to hide

I have

Done all the jig saws

The knitting, writing nothing left

Some day

I hope soon

The unlock rainbow

Will lift the bans

One day we WILL be free again

To sit and watch the world

Go by without a care

"free to sit and watch the world go by..." I thought that's what the stay at home order was asking us to do. I don't have a problem with the masks. They're just folks trying to stay well. I'm not troubled or desperate or suffering or even impatient. Do I want this pandemic to come to an end? Certainly. But until then, I'm perfectly content to read, cook, watch movies, draw, paint, create and spend quality time with my family while avoiding possible contagions and contagious environments as much as possible. As a great sage once said, "This too shall pass."

I am pretty certain that the summer of 2020 at least is gonna go down in history... now that's what I call profound :)

Think we can definitely write 2020 off, though something tells me November onwards is going to be bad.
If anything comes out of this, it maybe the realisation that as humans we're not as indestructible as we thought we were.

President Trump has a vaccination I hear. lol
our family has been barely affected
We are a bit isolated and the shopping thing is very well organized
There have been some good results for the animal kingdom and apparently the globe's surface has stopped vibrating
It will be good to find a solution because there are people and businesses in trouble and by the sound of it, there is a bit of optimism for a solution
