Grey poem

Grey poem

A Poem by Cutmyhairplease

I once had a friend, who was sour inside
What chances he took, what gaps in his pride
He never found satisfaction, only physical attraction
Which he saw as a monetary transaction
Not particularly craving attention,
But keeping us all in perpetual suspension
He had strong beliefs
Yourself included, your nails turned grey
Hey, that grey, it’s my colour
And my friend was only getting duller
We both liked music, especially RatherRipped
We also both liked it when the music was more stripped
He didn’t care for work and once said to me;
‘your society is your religion’
But are you going to go to university James?
And I had to ask
For in life we all must have a task
Never afford to let time go
For first we age, then we grow
I once had a friend who was friends with himself
