Eternal Rest

Eternal Rest

A Poem by Cwortknee

I tip toe through life with great precision
Second guessing my every decision
Eminent danger hovers over my head
I wait for the day that I'm due to drop dead

Dying alone is my very worst fear
For who would question or shed a tear
With only the wind to see me away
I'm better off to have not lived a day

With the way I live, I'd rather not
I may as well lie down and rot.
I wonder when will be my time
For stress has depleted my prime.

Very nice piece, it's pretty dark but if you think about it's also somehow beautiful in a unsettling way...great write!!

Thank you! Sometimes the saddest of emotions are the most beautiful. Life's weird that way.
