The Wind

The Wind

A Poem by Mitchel McGreevy

The Wind

By: Mitchel McGreevy

The day has come. The day of the wind. Hear it blow. Hear it roar among the trees. The wind can destroy. It can bring life. It can die. It can live. It can have mercy. It can take no prisoners. The wind is alive. The wind is you. The wind is me. I am the wind. The wind took my mother. It took my father. It took my brother. It took my family. The wind is not my friend, the wind is not my enemy. The wind is what it is. I am that I am, and I am

ALONE.
