THE MOMENT

THE MOMENT

A Poem by CynRick Kincaid

THE MOMENT

If i could choose a moment
Individual by afar
Place it on sacred old parchment
However normal or bizarre

Conceal it in a private place
As to fortify the pigment
Like the sparkling stars in space
Keeping mischievous hand distant

This moment undying stands still
To cradle you later from days past
Lay open the pages at will
If rightly preserved they will last

Can you be so partial to one
Unyielding choices are so vast
Some are sad and some really fun
This no more special than the last

A moment is just that and one should make each one count as if there will not be another. Great job!

Excellent reflections on the value of a moment in time. Just living gives those of us who love to write reason enough, doesn't it! :-) Sharon
