Dead Dance

Dead Dance

A Poem by Puja
"

Fall of self esteem described in the form of dance

"
Dancing to the tune abrupt,
to draw and let dry,
my pace counted numbers,
one, two, another try
and lo,
I plead, i fall
to the decline of all.
No step, no bow,
now you bend, allow
I pray protect,
my guilt survives.
This dance, no dance,
I failed your tries.

A multi-layered creation.
Almost any accomplishment requires some degree of self-confidence.
Low-regard for one's self makes life, itself, seem like a dead dance.
Well portrayed, Puja.

Thank you so much for your words
especially for a first attempt...some interesting personification and metaphor...
when self-esteem falls apart, the feet don't move...and we are so out of step with ourselves and the world anyway...we just want to sit the next one out.
