Fading Echo

Fading Echo

A Poem by D.

I had watched from the rusted bench: the swans in the lake.
They wrapped their necks around each other in an act of love, and appreciation.
The water rippled as they drifted together towards the land.
One flew off; as the sunset moved away into the distance, like a fading echo.
