Padded walls

Padded walls

A Poem by Darqu3ss3

Through countless centuries,
You have watched me fall,
Begging and pleading
For something more.

And when darkness unfolds
And when the truth is betrayed.
How will you crawl back to the light?
How will I learn to trust again?

Would we be forgiven
For giving into the toxin,
That is society?

Tell me is it right,
To feel so much pain that I forget myself?
That I pretend to be someone I'm not?

I'm begging you,
Cause I can't seem to breath,
As your light fades away from me.

And somewhere in the dark,
I hear an Angel crying out,
Yet I can't find my way out.

When I reached out for your warmth,
It was nowhere to be found.

As you left me in the dark,
With no hope to grasp,
I continued to scream,
Knowing these padded walls
No longer hide my pain.
