Old school

Old school

A Poem by Darqu3ss3
"

I wrote this one listening to a live band in a pub, just hearing them sing songs from dire straits and others inspired me to write this.

"
That playful buzz,
Warming the atmosphere.
That old school muse,
Breaking our hearts again.

Your singing your soul out,
Not to impress a crowd,
No you want to share your joy,
Breaking through their melancholy in a single note.

Your old school rock,
Soothing my long forgotten soul.
As I drown my sorrows with another round,
You sing those notes in your low baritone voice.

With each guitar note,
Your lifting our spirits more and more,
And as your song closes,
Your met with a thunderous applause of those you’ve inspired.
