Requiem for a dead love

Requiem for a dead love

A Poem by Georges Casimir

Once upon a time,
My lonely-hearted self,
was walking by you!

Did you ever notice,
Hidden love under
That well disguised
Friendship?
Did you ever feel
How insistent
My kisses were?

Once upon a time,
My lonely-hearted self,
Got rid of you!

Did you get my sarcasm?
Did you share my happiness?
Where you concerned by
My sadness?
Did you ever care?

O boy,
I'm not the kind
that will wait forever,
my heart doesn't standby,
my love will never be
wasted!
I'm gone,
Gone with the wind
