Bittersweet Memories

Bittersweet Memories

A Poem by Scarlett Moon
"

I wrote this a year after my best friend died of a fatal gunshot wound the summer of our eighth grade year.

"

My memories are all faded

My feelings have all jaded

You were more than you'd ever know

And more than I could ever show

When I remember you

I don't know what to do

I still can't find my way

Because I didn't know what to say

Bittersweet memories fill my head

While my body's filled with dread

Bittersweet memories are all that last

And are all that is left of our past

I hold on so tight

I don't care if I lose sight

Because whats in front of me

Is nothing I want to see

But I'll still remember you

No matter what I do

Even if all I have are these
