Tedium

Tedium

A Poem by D J Howlett
"

Quick draw down of words in my brain

"
I am become
tedium
Borer of worlds
A rhyme unfurls
Having a day
Nothing to say
Step back
Whip crack
Own boats shared storm
Air turned cold from the warm

Behind our doors and gates
In the words of Tom Waits
Way down in the hole
Starve the orange troll
Stifle your shout
Breathe in breath out
Know this won’t last
Current present the future’s past
