The Enigma of Night

The Enigma of Night

A Poem by Sarah Jane

Resistance is contagious,

Persistence is catching.

The moon shuns then softens

The sun preservers, though,

She knows.

Glimpses of expectation

Promises, promises

Returned silence.

The sun is not swayed, though

She knows.

Without being told

They orbit one another, tethered in

Perpetual permanence.

Sustaining static and storm

She knows.

Falling at dawn, he fades

Brazen, she beckons him back

Sharing the sky.

She knows

That submerged in clouds

He is there, shining

Dimmed in precipitation

Unwavering, he rises.

She knows

Without words to recognize

To elaborate the connection

Explaining the forces

That draw them together

She only knows

And that is enough

Hi Sarah Jane - a lot in this one, enigmatic connections and expressions of complex, repeating orbits. Good to read and ponder.
A larger size font would present the poem better.
Go well

Thank you so much for reading! I appreciate it
A time where words were not needed. A time where actions are more than enough. Love this.
