Obedient

Obedient

A Poem by Sarah Jane

You asked me to meet you in the middle
Between the guitar strings of a song
I have been walking for years looking for it

You asked me to meet you in the air
Within the rising harmonies of the chorus
I have learned to fly in my dreams

You asked me to love you just a little
Amongst the lyrics of an old time tune
I have surrendered myself completely

You have asked and I have answered
Though you cannot hear me harmonizing
