My False Chronicle

My False Chronicle

A Poem by Sarah Jane

Tears swell up as memories flash
Mother and daughter
Playing together
Then all the memories crash

There are smiles to be remembered
A lifetime of lies ago
The scornful mouth of soceity
Shames rebels such as us

All those stories that were played
Over many years by and by
A novel read a hundred times
Becomes one with the mind

Imagine the trust expected
What a gullible fool I was
All the memories I hold
Are no memories of mine

Tears swell up as memories flash
Mother and daughter
Playing together
Then all the memoires crash
