storm chasER

storm chasER

A Poem by DUALFISH320

as a thunderstorm wreaks havoc on gr

i sit back

reflecting

current events

and the physical manifestation of the storm

monsoon

within

erica tries to warn those around me

(my own personal meteorologist)

to strap everything down

forget the umbrellas

and rain coats

cause nothing is going to help

when i come thru

and sorry

here it is

hurt/pain

floods the paper before me

and i am

not

satisfied

broken levies

flooded streets

traffic light out for miles

and still

not

satisfied

trees on sides

basements full

of rain

and still

not

 satisfied

just let

me

blow on through

this shall

pass

PROMISE

cause then you will

truly appreciate

the

sun

on the other

side

of the

eye

of

this storm

Turbulent, but I enjoyed the rain. You have a unique voice. I've been reading through several of your poems here and I don't understand why they haven't been read/or reviewed. You have style. Articulate, powerful words.
