Tonight

Tonight

A Poem by Billie Hanzen

Here I stand on my own
Why did you leave me alone
The glass is empty because of you
I can't get this needle / all the way trough

I'm starving for love so I must be obese
The wine is sour and so is the cheese
I'm staring around the dark room again
As I tell myself / you must be a friend

But I guess I'm wrong again
But I guess I'm wrong again
But I guess I'm wrong again
I'm wrong again

I love you so
Why don't you know
I'll show you tonight
Even though you wanna fight

I'll call myself a broken man
I lie to myself again and say / people understand
You write my name when you go dark
You don't know my name / so it's just a mark

But I guess I'm wrong again
But I guess I'm wrong again
But I guess I'm wrong again
I'm wrong again

I love you so
Why don't know
I'll show you tonight
Even though you wanna fight
I'll be with you
And even love you too
You will decide
Where to put my pride
