Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by KC
"

This is my first ever submission, and it pertains to something i have been battling since i got divorced shortly after my first deployment. I am very amateur, and looking for a outlet for expression.

"
Loneliness is a disease, that can lead to death.
Or even worse, a purgatory situated between life and death
Loneliness creeps its way in, undeniably, through pores and veins
It sits in your stomach, a black pit
A nebulous void without edges, with an ability to tear into you with jagged harshness
Loneliness takes root in the mind, it festers like a infection and spreads
Doubts, questions, concerns, they take form all the same
A thousand different things scream through your brain
Every one, drowned out by deafening silence and a constant ringing in your ears
