Angel Laid to Rest

Angel Laid to Rest

A Poem by Silent Mystery

A thousand knives pierce our chest

As we watch her being laid to rest

Someone you would say is the best

This angel being laid to rest

Took me under her wings many times

Encourage me to continue my rhymes

Do something with your life she would always tell me

Words I cherished greatly

My tears wont fall for she is at peace

She has left her self behind in me a small piece

Whenever we feel that its to much and wanna cry

I remember somewhere in the sky she watches over me with loving eyes

So I look to the heavens where I know her to be

And ask her for guidance in life almost daily

Promises I gave to watch over her beautiful two

Her heart in the form of two lives Mya and Mechelle too

So I look back into the days

When life was simplistic in every way

So yes a thousand knives do pierce my chest

But I wont cry for she is an angel being laid to rest
