Valerie and I

Valerie and I

A Poem by Ember Smyth

Valerie and I
My best friend, Valerie, and I
Playing by the lake, Valerie and I
Tripped on a rake, Valerie, not I
Fell into the lake, Valerie, not I
Scared half to death, Valerie and I
Took her final breath, Valerie, not I

Playing now again, Valerie and I
Killing some men, Valerie and I
She suffered death, Valerie, not I
We're doing crystal meth, Valerie and I

Having fun with friends, Valerie and I
Fun never ends, with Valerie and I
We torture them to death, Valerie and I
They all take their final breath, because of Valerie and I

Happy happy happy
Joy joy joy
We're doing crystal meth
Pop goes the weasel
Rainbows, kittens, pop goes the weasel
Pop goes the
Ha ha ha
Pop goes the
Ha ha ha
Pop goes the weasel

We're having lots of fun, Valerie and I
Even though we're on the run, Valerie and I

Pop goes the weasel
I'm taking my last breath, not Valerie, but I
I don't want to face death, not Valerie, but I
Valerie is laughing
Laughing
Laughing
Laughing
Valerie is laughing

Valerie, and I
Enemies, Valerie, and I
Playing by the lake, Valerie and I
Where I tripped on a foot, not Valerie, but I
Fell into the lake, not Valerie, but I
Scared half to death, not Valerie, but I
Took my final breath, not Valerie, but I
Laughing as I die, Valerie.
