Asking Questions

Asking Questions

A Poem by Evan M.

Why, by nature, are we so curious?
Insatiable and never ending, eventually we will destroy ourselves with what we learn.
Can one not stay ignorant yet be all that society needs them to be?
but then again can one not gain knowledge and keep the childlike innocence that we all yearn for?
I speak of curiosity yet am left with more question than with what i started.
Thus we are back to the query of human nature.
Characterized by all we are and all we ever will be.
How can I ask, who are we? If I don't even know me...
My question riddle mind does wonder, can I not tear these queries asunder?
Though my journey has just begun, I cannot be a child nor have fun
Until I can answer these question that seem to be on the run.
