Can't Sleep

just another late nights thoughts in fancyish words

we have all had those late nights where you cant sleep

where your thoughts are muddled and you're in so deep

the need for that special someone whose always on your brain

it's addicting like heroine or cocaine

but with this you don't need a constant fix, just one night of pure bliss

where all things seem to connect to happiness

to some this might seem trivial

to those nay sayers I tell you, you're in denial

the conversations carry throughout what seems like an eternity

when you finally deem it necessary to look at the time

your heart flips on a dime

so late!? and so soon!?
no matter...

we have an eternity to spend together

forever

some secrets were shared and some thoughts were let loose

but now you know for certain that this could be the one

that maybe an eternity really is an option

and not just some cheap ploy force fed to you by those who don't want love

only lust

and with that I say this poem is a bust.
