Taking Pictures (Poem)

I now work in a call center for ordering photos haha so this inspired me...

Taking picture to never forget what we've done

Outlasting our memories

Capturing fun

Taking our minds back, it seems like time's flying

Smiles abroad

Then we catch ourselves crying

Close ones we've lost and places we've been

We immortalize

So we can see them again

So I ask

Where would we be without pictures?

And answer

A place where our minds are the filters.

Brilliant!
I love this poem. I love my countless albums and thousands of pictures I print. I love my mom's old college photo album full of long hairs in flannels. I love my grandmother's engagement photo that we have up on the mantle and the faded picture of my dad on the farm in about 1950 and the pictures my parents took of me and Parker playing in the leaves.
The third and last stanzas are my favorite. Such reality in your words and such a odd angle to look at pictures from- through a poem. Poems too, take pictures, snapshots, their just of our minds at a certain time rather than our smiles.
