I Need A Smoke... (Writing)

I really did need a smoke... Well... Want I suppose...

I smoke.

For what?

Nine times out of ten I don't even want to finish the f*****g thing.

When I actually think about the consequences of this pointless addiction I am appalled...

The tar.

My lungs, mouth, and throat...

Everything eventually may fail and end me and everything I was

A little sooner than I could've lasted...

Four to seven minutes over twenty times a day for decades...

I need to quit smoking.

Get one of those light smokes and suck through the little holes around the filter.

Check that tar out...

Disgusting...

Great...

Now I need a smoke.

Hey, I have not felt the need to write anything since I lost some of the most important people in my life back on back & within the blink of an eye earlier this year. I used to smoke over 40 a day and have worked in mental health for just as many years. I retire this Friday and am as frightened as F... by the prospect of being bored. Try Champix from your GP many folk dont even need to try giving up nicotine with this method, it just happens. Good luck & hey, you don't need that s**t. Spend some time instead checking out some of my stuff. All Good Things, N

I feel the same way about smoking. I have been smoking for years and recently my grandparents started smoking e-cigarette's instead of cigarettes. Well I tried to do the same thing because when I hit my cigarette and blew it on a white tissue paper the spot where my mouth was turned dark brown; it was so gross. I went to the store and bought myself e-cigarettes and guess what? They didn't help me like they did my grandparents. I used them for one whole day and went back to my regular cigarettes:(
I would like to quit smoking as I know it is going to kill me and the taste lately has been nasty beyond belief. Thank you for sharing this piece:)

I haven't smoked since 08. I don't see the point to it in the states but every now and then I think "what I wouldn't do for a cig right now." But the craving, like so many other fleeting wants and desires goes away.

I don't smoke as a habit but there are days I just will smoke one and enjoy it...and that happens with cold beer too.. Some days I just crave one..lol. Love this:)
