Caged in at the top of the world

Caged in at the top of the world

A Poem by Dandeliondreamer

Caged in at the top of the world

I stood, silently

Overlooking the lights of the night

For a few moments of make-believe

I was there, at the top of the world

I spread my arms

And closed my eyes

A voice, building inside me

Rising from my innermost chambers

About to part my lips

I inhaled

And swallowed that voice

And walked home

From the fenced parking lot

That doesn't happen to me often, but it's a great feeling to think that you are top of the world. You are at your pinnacle, nothing better. I enjoyed your little poem.

Thank you

Chris
