Look inside

Look inside

A Poem by Daniel Dawes
"

Originally a song I wrote for guitar

"

Sense yourself don't look through others,

The mirror is vast you might get lost,

Shattered into pieces, the edges seem sharp,

The reflection in all is the same at the start.

The fog at night it can seem endless,

To stop and stand shatters this perception,

Even in the day this night seems endless,

To stop and stand shatters this perception.

Be still and know there's more to see,

To know and see is the way we should be,

In a crowded house the noise never stops,

And to understand this can be quite a shock.

Ask yourself the question to know the answer,

When you know the answer let go of both,

The truth lies before, during and after,

No need to ask the question no need to know the answer.

To love with condition is not love at all,

Surrender to condition you surrender to all,

Change the lenses on those glasses,

Love without bounds then there's no false chances.

Move with the wind and let the current take you,

Sail your ship through the calmest of seas,

As you move to the horizon don't wish to be there,

One wave at a time but do not despair.
